    Hi everyone,

This is the only EK2 I have (unmarked, naturally), and I'm currently wondering if it is a decent example of the breed? The red of the ribbon is a bit different than most of them I see, but I suppose that varied widely to begin with compounded by variable storage for 60 years.

    Best regards,

An original IMO. The reverse date is sitting very low! Possibly an S&L, the EK boys will confirm

I see no problems with this cross...Ribbons tend to fade with time, especially if not stored properly for years. You will actually come across early awarded EKIIs with ribbons that have turned a shade of orange as well...Nice original cross, friend!
    cheers, Glenn
