Jonathan - the number is simply referring to the maker of the cross. There are of course makers who are more desirable than others, but the number itself is just the identifying mark. My knowledge on which ones are the rare/desirable ones is limited, as I am just starting out

In this case, mine and Nick's EKII are made by Arbeitsgemeinschaft der Hanauer Plaket-ten-hersteller.

Hi Jonathan,

This maker is pretty common, but yet hard to find in mint condition IMO. Do a search in the EK section for scarce herstellers, there should be plenty of threads. Let me know if you're looking for a specific maker and I'll keep an eye out.

I am in the process of learning about them and there variations.
I am not looking for any particular maker, just ones that catch my eye.

Collecting EK's is difficult... because you always want more once you have a few This "24" makes it my 4th 1939 EKII.

I have a "65" in the post atm, and can't wait for it to arrive.
