Good original Deumer, what's the number in the box under the catch?
Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....
Thanks for answer, Adrian.
I'll inquire as to the number.
I was offered these recently. A friend knows of my historic interest and asked whether I was interested in these, as one of his collegues wanted to sell. I have not actually handled the decoration(s), as the transaction is still in its infant state and via this mate acting as a 'buffer.' I'll ask though.
Buyer is asking 190£ for it. Is that fair market price?
I have never bought one, as I was afraid to be stuck with a fake.
That's a little on the high side for me, more of a dealer's price rather than a private sale which I would expect to be more favourable.

Thanks. Appreciate it. I will make him an offer for several of the decorations for sale and that might make it possible to get a better ptice.
The number is a '3'
Nice Deumer

Thanks for the answers. I really appreciate the info.
I have received the Iron Cross.
It has a magnetic core, but it is impossible to see the number if any. I have been looking at it with a watchmakers loupe, but it looks like there is just the square for the number - maybe a smudge in there, which could be mistaken for a 3 as mentioned above. But I cant be sure and really dont want to clean the thing.
Any other leads, as to it being a Deumer?
Compare it to my marked 3 Deumer.
