As Nick says, these weren't issued in screwback form, only pinback.
If you wanted a screwback cross you had to buy it from a licenced outlet but only if you could prove your entitlement.
Issued Mayer crosses were marked with that company's PKZ number - 26, privately purchased crosses were marked with their LDO number - L/18.
Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....
