    No idea, the pin is odd I've never seen one like that before. Is that a hole on the rear just below where the hinge is attached?

    hi

    looks like a good cross whit a way to high placed needle
    also the side were you can see the solder line is open maybe age or something else, dont know

    Interesting cross . One does find EK1s with holes from time to time . The back plate was originaly intended for a Screw-back EK1 and the cut hole is for the 'Anti-Rotation' pin . They were short of regular back plates and just used a few of these instead .
