Adrian, could you name the main features that give this cross away as a fake? Then I would know if my own observations are spot on. Always eager to learn from the pros

The dates are the biggest giveaway Kenneth. No original EK has numerals in the dates such as those above. If you learn that distinctive '3' and can recognise it then you will know a Floch cross. Try a search for 'Floch' in this forum, there are quite a few examples to practise on.

Re: Ek2
Its the mismatching of the ridges on the intersecting arms of the frame that always gives a Floch away to me. That plus the rounded corners of the inner frame around the Swastika. I have a terrible eye for the numbers, they all look the same to me...

Re: Ek2
Thank you guys, I see both the inaccuracies of the frame and the special "Floch '3'".

Indeed, also invariably the date sits very low almost touching the beading

Re: Ek2
Don't forget though guys, rounded inner corners near the swastika and a low date are feature that can be found on original crosses too so don't dismiss an original as fake based upon single things. Look at the whole cross and add the features up to reach a conclusion.
