Re: ek2 unknown variant?
I was wondering if it matched my 'odd date' unknown EK2

Re: ek2 unknown variant?
Rory,
That mark you show is for jump ring placement, not actually a hole at all.
But the one on the Deschler is actually a hole through one entire side of the frame hump.
Three Deschlers showing the 'hole' on the reverse.

Re: ek2 unknown variant?
Ah get you now Danny, on my cross is it just that it wasnt soldered on properly? in a rush type job

Re: ek2 unknown variant?
Rory, the cross you have shown with the ring placement marking is a Souval...
If I remember correctly, these are commonly found with the jump ring only soldered on one side.

Re: ek2 unknown variant?
Danny is absolutely correct, the first cross is a Deschler and Souval crosses only had the suspension ring soldered onto one side of the frame, usually the front.
Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....
