EKII unknown maker

Hello guys,

I bought that cross and would like to ask your help.
Have you ever seen this variant before?
It looks like a zinc core version.

I've never come across this variant before. The only zinc cored EK2s I would be happy with are the Juncker types and I'm not at all convinced this is by Juncker.
Saying that though, doesn't make it a fake automatically and it is worthy of some further research before any hard conclusions should be drawn.
The quality looks good and the dates look right. The frame seems as though it's been cleaned, are there scratches as if made by an abrasive surface?
Have any of the other EK collectors given any opinions on it?

Hello Adrian,

not Fabri nor Trevor have seen one before.
Trevor said that he thinks its not fake but can't say for 100% sure.
I will make some measuerements when I got it in hand.

On the reverse, where the suspension ring meets the frame, it looks like there is a recess, a bit like a Deschler, when you have the cross in hand, can you confirm please?

I have half good feeling with this one: positive is that details are good, more or less like an orginal. I don't like the general look, paint as a strange colour and frame don't seem to me maken with the right alloy but I want to wait for better pics with natural light, maybe I 'll change idea.

The observe date reminds me for the Pforzheim makers design, the back date is interesting, the number 3 is similar to the schinkel, imperial design IMO.
The swastika has a nice pyramid design.
If one of you would be interested I am gladly send it to you for hand inspection.

I don't like the lines under the paint on the 12 o'clock arm on the reverse.
But I really can't tell if it's good or not.
I haven't seen this type before, thats for sure.

The more I look at it, the more I like it but still can't put a maker to or recognise any features. Interesting to see the wear on the beading is in the same places front and back showing at least the frames are from the same die at about the same time.
