ic3.jpgI saw this one for sale, and initially thought it might be a Klein & Quenzer; however, the clasp is a little too high up the arm of the cross and the top hinge looks horrible. I have asked for a full res pic of the front but don't think that will help. Any thoughts please?Fake EK1?ic3.jpgFake EK1?

Hi Al, i personally would give it a miss, that hardware set up does look a real mess does'nt it.From these pictures the beading on the front looks a bit soft as well,i would like it much sharper. As you say if you can get better pictures that will tell you for sure,if they want to sell and it is genuine i can't see what the problem should be!

Better pics would help. Off the top of my head it looks like a Meybauer.

It looks to me like the borders of the arms at 6 o'clock and 3 o'clock are slightly wider on the right sides. Is this an optical illusion? The seller is asking $170, is that a fair price for this?

It could be the way the frame was stamped and finished or it could be an optical illusion casued by the photo, hard to tell without better images.

$170 would be at the top end of what I would expect to pay for a cross in this condition.

    Hello there,

I believe the cross is period and that $170.00 would be a decent price for this one.
