Hi guys,
This went for $375 this morning... is it fake? I hope it is, because if it's not then I need to start kicking myself.
Thanks,
Mo

By no means an iron cross expert myself (in fact just got my first iron cross recently
The price itself raises my eyebrows but yea hope it was not real as you'd have missed the steal of a lifetime!
I don't know RKs that well, but I would venture to guess this one is no good. I don't like the beading and the inside corners. The year stamps look to have some kind Of ridges around the numbers. Looks unusua and sloppy. Those are my amateur observations.
i'm no expert either and i hope one comes along soon to allay my suspicions but for a lazy 2 i don't like the beading in spots, the location of the "800" hallmark and the finish to the core.
i would echo helmetone's comments. especially as it concerns those strange numerals.
I thought that the paint and beading were a little sloppy. Thanks for your input, gentlemen.
Im not sure... It do look abit rough. But it might have potential.
This is not an original Juncker Ritterkreuz. The ribbon is fake too.
Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....
Thanks guys, I'm glad I missed out on it then.
Sometimes a treasure turns out to be junk.Others are right on with this copy! This was one sloppy attempt at a very high honor for any German armed forces member.Real ones are at least 6k (LOW END)-12k or more if they are documented to a particular officer or nco/ em.IMO
