A Good Start...

Hello All,

I didn't want to hi-jack Adam's thread about his first EK of the year, so I've started this one instead.

2013 was a pretty bad year for me, and my collection suffered a lot as a result. However, I am happy to say that 2014 has started out well and these two brightened up my January considerably!

The first is a beautiful and near mint cased C.F. Zimmermann EK1 marked '20'. As it seems to be dark here any time I try to take a photograph, these do not show it at its best - the frosting is almost perfect. (Not as heavy as found on a W&L, but still there).

The EK1 spange (my first) is a very nice unmarked Deumer, but has been recently cleaned - not by me though. Ignore the repro spange case - I just use it until I can find an original.

Hope you all like them as much as I do, and feel free everyone to add your first crosses of the year too.

I am happy that things are turning about for you and glad to hear that you are finally able to add to your collection that has been devastated by your misfortune.
I really like the EK I spange and am hoping that this year I will be able to add a Deumer example to my collection.
