Iron Cross - an obvious fake?

A straight on shot would probably help.
That 'mark' on the ring looks like the join in the ring to me.

Thanks Nick! The case didn't come with the cross actually. It's just a case I keep it in for now. I want it to feel as comfortable as possible.
