    Default iron cross..... tricky one

    Hi guys,

i've been offered a iron cross 1st class. I have my doubs if this is an original one. there is a marker stamped nr 20 but its on an od place (inside of the pin). Ans it seems as te black plating is repaired on the edges. it only cost about €50.00 so etheir the guy doesn't know wat he is selling or i'm being fooled.......

    opinions please.

oh i forgot there is also a miniature stickpin going with the cross.

    greetings, Eddy

well i'm not the expert yet but it looks like a okay iron cross just in poor condition, but the pic is very bad so it hard to say out from them, I have seen ironcross marked 20 on the back of the pin before so don't think it so od, the pin also looks like right, but better pic will do it and ofcurse a more wiser mann god luck

Would preferably need to see more detail but I would definately take a chance for 50 Euros! If its a fake you can keep it as an example!

    Hi Eddy,

I would pass on this one... it's features do not match those on known original '20' marked crosses.

The date, beading, maker mark and clasp are different, also the pin looks to be the wrong shape.

    Here's an original (somwhat distressed) double-marked L/52 & 20 for comparison.

    Regards - Danny
