I think the Mayer hinge is too wide to be the one in the photo? I don't have an Orth to compare but I do have a W&L and this maker is still a possibility I think. The cross looks quite sharp, much like a W&L, does anyone have or can anyone post a pic of a mint Orth cross?
Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....

Hope you don`t mind me posting this, it`s a photo from my collection showing the famous
Wilhelm Eggemann being awarded the
RITTERKREUZ as a Major on April 20th 1943...
I figuerd it wouldent get more minty then this, he he..
The guy in the background looks kinda dejected...like he was promised an RK also but they only had the one for Wilhelm.
