Very nice ritterkreuz. I can't wait until I have one of these.

What does the 'Lazy 2' refer to?

It is the MM 2 being very lazy and resting on its side ... ;-)

Super cross Torsten. I dislike using the word 'textbook' but this one really is. A fantastic complete set, thank you for posting it. As the ribbon is unused I'm guessing this is an unissued cross? Do you know anything of it's history?

Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....

I was told a story about it, but of course it s only a story. It came from the previous owner's grandfather who was a Major in the British Army and who was given it by some French villagers when their village got liberated by his unit. There must have been a Divisional store there or similar and I guess it was destined to be given to someone, but they run out of time ... he also had an unissued cased DK in Gold and another DK in Silver, but the family sold them when granddad died some years ago and the RK was forgotten about .... they only discovered the awards when he had died and one of Granddad's comrades from the war who attended the funeral told them about this ... well, this is the story I was told. Probably true, but of course I have nothing to back this up with and so, I am only treating it as a story. Cheers, Torsten.
