How can I put the correct medal there I looked under my microscope and its attached to a medal post or something under the ribbon. I plan to correct this bar thanks

The 'post' should be just a hook which the ribbon ring on the award is looped over. Gently part the ribbon folds and you should see it and be able to easily remove the KVK.
