Here you go guys, one of two new EK2 additions that arrived recently and with many thanks to Fabri for letting me add them to my collection.
I've been after this one for a few years and never been in the right place at the right time. They don't very often come up for sale.

So, can anyone guess the maker? No prizes, just for fun - unfortunately Fabri isn't allowed to answer!

    *Edit* - answer revealed now.

It's unmarked and therefore an early example from a maker who produced a later version......

Exactly right Kenneth - the early and very elusive Godet!

I can't believe there is finally one in the collection, they are such a scarce cross to see, let alone have the chance to purchase. ( Thank you again Fabri!)
The core, which is hard to make out in my photos is the finest finish I've ever seen. I had to do a double take to make sure it wasn't enamelled it is so smooth. There is a layer of original laquer over the top which has worn off on the obverse and can be noted in the photos above.
Here are a couple more pics that Fabri sent me (and better than mine) to see the details and also the later style Godet marked '21' to compare with.
The difference between early and late versions are the frames, the cores are the same.

Congratulations Adrian, she is indeed a beautiful cross, the first early Godet I have seen! The core looks like satin! You must be thrilled

    @ Kenneth, well spotted mate

@ Fabri, why did you let such a gem go
