Re: Opinion on Iron crosses 2nd class
Hello
I think the EKII 1914 is original and interesting, I would like to see better pics, maybe it 's possible to know the manufacturer.
About the WW2 EKII, I think it 's original and in 3 parts. The way you use to know if it 's a one piece or in 3 parts is not always correct.
In fact you have to check the frame edge near the core, especially the inner corners.
The EKIIs one piece construction are the earlies but this one seems a standard one to me.

Re: Opinion on Iron crosses 2nd class
I see nothing wrong with either cross from the photos posted. The Imperial looks good, I would like to see better pics of the non-com ribbon to see if it's original though.
The TR EK2 has no red flags for me, it's a little beaten up but I see nothing that would make me question originality based upon these photos.
Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....

Re: Opinion on Iron crosses 2nd class
Thanks again, like I said, I collect Imperial items and the WW2 cross was just an extra bonus. I got them from a guy at work; he said that his uncle brought them back from WW2? And the best part was that they was a gift.
