Interesting cross. As Fabri says, a K&Q but quite strange that the core is so pitted yet the rest of the cross is in very good condition relatively speaking.
Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....

This got my attention too. Maybe because of the different materials used?

Naturally Tombak has a great resistance than iron against oxidation, this is the reason of this great diffenrence of conditions.
There are "many" crosses like this.
