    Looks like the EKII winner is wearing a captured Soviet issue "Ushanka". These were a popular item. So much so that orders had to be issued reminding troops not to wear them home on leave.

    Nice pair of photos Ingrid, it looks like the guy who's shoulder we can see to the right in the first pic is the guy in the second photo.

    Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....
