Polish EK1?? Iron Cross- Real? Did they make them?

Article about: Hi Saw this for sale and I have never heard of the "Polish EK" This medal does not look like a medal of German WW2 era quality to me. The date looks no good with very thin numerals

    Hi Saw this for sale and I have never heard of the "Polish EK" This medal does not look like a medal of German WW2 era quality to me.
    The date looks no good with very thin numerals. Here is how the seller describes it:
    WW2 German iron cross 1939 for polish campagne. Good condition, signed "595"

    Is this a good one, and what is the history of the Polish EK's if so.
