I think they look fine but let´s wait for the more experienced opinions. They certainly will want to hear more about the stamping on the Iron Cross

The two KvK's look fine, but unsure of the EK1.

I'm no expert, but i do think the interior of the cross has been re-touched/painted at some time in the past and it may have re-acted somewhat with the metal.

As far as the rust goes, it looks fairly normal for something as old as this piece.
As for authenticity, i'll leave that to the big dogs!

    Rusty Regards, Ned.

Well Ned the rust looks like salt rust (its also acid) and may be caused by storage too...

Could you perhaps post close ups of the cross? And of the markings on the pin. Thanks

    Hi Jan,

Fair comment, but i'll stick with my initial guess. Look very closely at the centre of the cross, it's been messed with at some point. There are two 'types' of black paint/glaze on there, and that ain't right in my books. Like i said, i'll leave the authencating to the experts.....Oh, and i still think the rust is as to be expected on a piece this old.

Just my two bob's worth, Ned.

    thanks everybody for the comments...
the two first medals are for certain real (i guess) since my grandfather was an MP in occupied Germany and took them with as a souvenir with some other goodies (Hitlerjugend knife, M3 trench knife, and some more stuff)
the iron cross he got from a friend later on, so he didnt got it from when he was stationed in occupied germany
