It's good to know also that there is a market among re-enactors for repro items meaning I didn't loose too badly.

I personally have no idea how these "eagle eyed" chaps do it.All i personally can say is that i can see for myself a steinhauer and luck cross,as for the rest i post them here for these fine" gentlemen"(very fine i might add!!) to identify!!

Experience and study!
Getting to know the features of different makers and matching them to maker marked examples etc.
Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....
