Re: "Ritterkreuz"Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross .... Opininions needed Please
I highly doubt, that Dietrich said that. It usually accepted that Micro 800 and A type S&L are originals war time product, C type post war for sure, and there are some people who believe B types are wartime too. Usually these guys own a B type cross. Most of the dealers aslo sell B types as post war products thats why they are much cheaper.
I would say most collectors don't believe that B type S&L can be war time example.

Re: "Ritterkreuz"Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross .... Opininions needed Please
Both the 935-4 and 800-4 (both "B" types) are confirmed by Dietrich to be of wartime manufacture. There are also other "B" types, including Bob Hritz's well-known non-magnetic "Kitzingen" cross (obtained from a surrendering pilot of the Immelmann Geschwader at Kitzingen airfield) and the non-magnetic "B" type obtained by Andreas Klein from an officer on Doenitz's staff (which was a commercial purchase in 1940), which conflict with Dietrich's opinions.
