Looks to be 31 mm, exactly.

In that case it is an EK2 ribbon. Do you see the point? You've gone from a $1000 ribbon to a $10 one because we've seen a photo of your actual item.

An Iron Cross Second Class (Eisernes Kreuz), an example can be seen in the photo below being worn.
Ok thanks. Correct me if i'm wrong..the difference between the 1st and 2nd class is, the 1st class has a screw or pin back, and the 2nd class has a loop. The 1st class is higher also. Is this correct?

That is correct. The second class was awarded as in the photo above but thereafter worn just as a ribbon from the buttonhole or as a ribbonbar above the left breast pocket. The first class was worn on the left breast pocket and attached by a pin or screwback device. The Ritterkreuz was worn at the throat and suspended by a ribbon around the neck.
You needed the lower class before you could be awarded the higher class.

Re: Ritterkreuz ribbon.
I should've mentioned earlier, a Ritterkreuz ribbon should measure 45mm wide which is why we know the ribbon above is for an EK2.
