Wow, that frame and pin could double as a mirror if needed, Nick I haven't bought any medals for a while now (I have been busy with useless old wool and such), so it's great to see some bling again! Simply unglaublich...

It doesn't look like a heer helmet to me? I only have 2 Ek's and I am very jealous. You need to move on to helmets so I can buy one of these beauty's! Remember my offer....I will display your EK's and move all my kids into one room to do it and I will put your name on each room!!! No charge!

Sam
Stone mint, very very sexy mate. I'm a total rookie with EK's but you've got to love that shape, along with the helmet it's the image you immediately think of. Are these minty ones literally from a stock that was plundered in bulk by the Soviets and taken back to Russia?
An absolutely excellent example. Old time collectors may remember that in the mid 1960's, a load of unissued cased
1st class crosses were located still in their cardboard box packaging. They were on the market for $25.00. It took about one year for them to disappear from shows. I also am interested in learning more about this latest horde.

Thanks guys
I think the Russians stumbled across them as they swept West. The crosses were over there all boxed and pristine in readiness to give out to the front line troops but of course it never happened
