Type of thread on EK1's
Can anyone tell me what type of screw threads were used on EK1 screwback's?
I have an EK1 by Paul Maybauer, which unfortunately has no screwback, and i wanted to mount it in a display.
I thought the screwthread would have been metric, either 3mm or 4mm, but it's somewhere in between.
Anyone have any idea's?
Thanks in advance.
Best regards
Mark

Re: Type of thread on EK1's
eh eh right question Mark.
unfortunately our dear German manufacturers didn't use a standard screw thread in fact you can not mix discs easily..
for exaple I had a Meybauer that just accepted a Wiedmann disc.. no Godet/Zimmermann or Deumer.
Actually I 'm in search of a good disc for my Deumer. And probably we have to get it in a show or from a relic..

Re: Type of thread on EK1's
Cheers Fabri. I also have a 1st class Spange by Deumer, and like you say, the thread is completely different. I will just have to keep looking, but I would be interested in knowing what type of threads they used.
Many thanks
Mark
