hello everyone new to the forum thought id try it out with one of my eks not te best one but best pics i took of a few, i hope to upload more of my collection over the weekend.

i cant make out the number one te ring cause of the condition but maybe the pros can spot it out?

Hi Rory and welcome to the forum. Thank you for posting your EK, an original cross. I can't give you a clue as to the maker right now but I can take a better look tomorrow. Can you post any better photos and one of the makers mark perhaps? There is a sticky thread at the top of this sub forum with some tips.

My guess, although I am NOT an EK expert, is that it could be a "65" marked Klein und Quenzer. Hopefully Adrian, Nick or somebody can confirm the maker for you soon enough. Some better photographs would certainly help, if possible.

thanks adrian yes por pics, got a new camera and getting used to it i will try get better pics on sunday and upload them i took a few more of other eks and may as well upload them now for what its worth quality isnt great lol

It's not a '65' Carl. K&Q marked their crosses with a direct stamp, not an incuse one like above. This maker has used a stamp which makes a large indentation and the numbers are in raised relief within. Have a search for '65' and compare the marks. Good guess though, I can see why you thought it by looking at the '3's in the date.

They all look like Souval crosses from the pics. The distinctive 'birds foot' corners can be made out. Obviously less shaky pics would help...........

Yes Adrian, it was the '3's that lead me to that belief. I will check on the '65's in a moment, thanks for that. And good luck Rory, with guys like Adrian around, help is at hand!

lol yes cheers guys if you can get all that info from such shakey pics then you obviously know your stuff look forward to uploading better pics this forum is mint could spend hours looking at everyones collections
