Unknown Medal Boxes, any ideas?

Hi Guys,

These two are recent finds.

The first two photos are of the green box, it has had some sort of cross in it that has left a shadow on the blue lining.

The second had an EK2 in it but I wondered if the receses at the top might be for a Bar to EK2?

Hi Jock, both are nice buys.

The green one is for a Police 25 year long service cross.

The second looks like a private purchase box for an EKII.

I only have the Military Formans, I think Vol 1, is the police box in Vol 2?

If so I need to get a copy as my Col Dodkins is a bit out of date!

The second one seems odd I've been trying to fit things in it but with no success yet.

Hi Jock, the Police box is illustrated in Detlev Niemann's book. There is a new 3rd edition out now and it is worth getting. I only have the 2nd edition.

I cannot find an exact match to the EKII box but a couple of mates of mine are really into boxes and packets. I will get them to take a look.

Thats a good lookin EK box. Too bad the award didn't come in it. Good find though!
