I have been given this EK2, and I am not too sure it is real. It looks well aged and the ribbon has passed the burn test, and the core is magnetic aswell. I cannot seem to locate a maker mark on the suspension ring, or anywhere else for that matter. Could anyone be kind enough to share their thoughts or concerns on this piece?

Feel free to request more pictures as needed!

Looks good to me, as for maker, i can't tell, but there are plenty of collectors on here who can, nice piece!

Looks good to me as well, but obviously has been poorly kept.
Not bad though if it was simply given to you.........

The cross and ribbon are both original, no worries there. I'll look up the maker in the morning unless someone can get there overnight!

Good to hear it checks out ok

I was concerned about the sunken swas and the low date on the reverse

Does anyone else think this cross could be a Rettmaier going by the frame features?
