W&L EK1 Etui, does the number mean anything?

Article about: by Glenn66 I don't know really, maybe you can tell me? All I know is it has the cool '800' stamp and with the way the ribbon has been stitched for wearing, it will display nicely with my TR

Now back to the Etui numbering mystery, the following code is embossed on the underside of the award mount card. '621 RB'

I'm guessing the plots thickens with no answer in sight?
It's certainly a puzzle, I hope a few more members with cased EK1s or anything else for that matter, can add their findings from the bottom of their cases?

Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....

The code is 621.KB. that was used by this manufacturer to ID the base for EKIs, there are other codes that ID KVKIs, Wound Badges etc. That 212 is unknown to me and I have no ideas about the meaning..

Tomorrow I 'll try to take a look to my cases, normally I don't open them.

Not this time, the dealer has just told me it was sold and they hadn't removed it from the site

Very interesting! Quite a mystery but in reality the truth is probably far more boring than our imagination.

    Interesting thread..

I have 2 sets with numbers.
    A K&Q with no. 126 and a W&L with no. 48.
What does the other numbers mean? 2420. N D&B ?

I have looked in all my cased EK2's and there are no numbers..
