The cross isnt gold its just the flash.
I think the first number is 4 but the second maybe 6 so 46 maker?

That's a very big mark for an S&L and there are two digits. Could it be a '44' - Jakob Bengel?

Thanks Nick and Adrian, I asked the seller for the maker and they said they cant see it well from their eyesite, is 44 a rare mark?
I will ask them for a close up shot David.
