From my limited knowledge it would appear he was stationed to the Oder front ?
He registered for military service at the Wehrbezirkskommando located at Crossen an der Oder ( Krosno Odrza )
and was allocated the service category of Landsturm I which meant 'trained man over the age of 45'. Whether he actually served in a military organisation is unknown and without seeing a Soldbuch it might be impossible to know. The likelihood is that he was assigned to a Volksturm unit but there is no confirmation of any military service (apart from WW-1) in his WP.

There are 3 Otto Günther's listed in the Volksbund database as having been born in the 1880's (including one with no birthdate given) and dying in 1945 but none of them have the same date of birth. Either he isn't listed, wasn't called up, wasn't killed/missing or is the one with no birth details (although I doubt it is him due to place of death being in Bavaria)...
Nachname:Günther
