    EK2 doc is signed by Lieutenant General Hans Freiherr von Falkenstein (24 infantry division).
    ASA doc is signed by Colonel John Zuhlsdorf.

    I've been informed ( thanks Ian Jewison). The last unit he served with in the west was Artillery Reg "Ulrich von Hutten" (1488-1523, a German knight, scholar, Poet & religious reformer). Surrendered to the Americans on 8th May 1945 at Tangermunde. So it's an even better find. Stewy
