I don't think he was part of any 'killing squads'. The z.b.V units could of been for anything including convoy/supplies escort or security guards. z.b.V stands for zur besonderen Verwendung (for special use). The last unit might have some dark connotations however, as Bialystok had a ghetto so he might of been involved in guarding the perimeter of that but there is so little information on the units he served in that it is hard to be sure. He was dead a few months before the liquidation of the ghetto so wasn't involved in that.
