    Nice paper. Looks like he got the classic end of war general promotion as so many people did for no aparent reason.

    I think promotions started getting handed out willy-nilly in order to raise morale and replace losses.

    Thanks for the extra comments. I would assume that he received his promotion to Generalmajor in line with his assignment as stellv.Kdr of Fallschirm.Pz.Gren.Div 'Hermann Göring' 2 so that he held the seniority in that unit.
