Gren Regt176 , 61 ID Group !
A Nice soldbuch and documents to Gefreiter Rudolf ( Rudi ) Mesters who served with the Stab of Gren Regt 176 part of the 61 Infanterie Division.
The EK II Doc is signed by Generalleutnant Günther Krappe .
He was the Div Commander and was awarded the Ritterkreuz on 11/4/1944 for command of the Division during the fighting around Narva.
Rudi Mesters unit was fighting in the famous " Boot " between the Ost and west sacks in the Auwere Bridgehead.

Indeed Stewy , wonder where they have disappeared to over the years . I have been where he was fighting on the Narva Front many times , he certainly earned his awards in these Battles and the conditions they were fought in !
