    Hello,
    Would this be a special unit in the police of Warsaw handling Jewish affairs or a regular member of the police?
    Allowing a Jewish woman to leave with a Polish passport would have required I believe "special handling"?
    Is his signature recognizable?

    Polizei-Regiment Warschau was initially the command element for any police battalions assigned to the various districts of Warsaw. It would eventually become SS-Polizei-Regiment 22. Here is some more information on it:

    Judging by the Italian writing it looks like Cecilia managed to emigrate to Palestine as the Germans were still allowing Jews to emigrate at this time. I believe that policy was stopped in October 1941. There is mention on the web of a Maks Derbaum located in the Warsaw Ghetto, so maybe a son or brother?

    She may have been able to return back at this time due to exchange of civilians, German living in British Mandate. She had Mandate citizenship since she immigrated in 1935 and had kept her Polish passport which was a requirement to enter Poland, which she did before the war erupted. She was a very very lucky person indeed.
