Default KM early issue Wehrpas WW1/WW2 Vet

I dug out this rather minty Wehrpas belonging to a fellow who was a WW1 KM Vet 1916, and was reintroduced to military life 10-10-38. Albin Bergert appears to have been born 4.5.1896 . The rear of the Wehrpas has his WW1 Reichs-Marine Military pass from 1916 riveted to it troop ID card issued at Kiel 29.10.38. Plus another document criminal record ??? Document. Looks like he qualified with a k-98. Had 4 promotions and appointments in a short span. I'm unable to decipher plus one award from 1918 I cannot read. 5 duty stations etc... hopefully Andreas will come along , and help in this translation

I thought it neat that he has his WW1 KM military passbook riveted to his WW2 Wehrpas.

It's a certificate of service time and conduct issued to soldiers at the end of their term of service (in this case, a brief period from 29 Sept. 1938 to 22 Oct. 1938, which may have been a call-up related to the Sudeten crisis, or simply an exercise or training period for reservists). His conduct was good [gut].

Correct. But, back then... Who wasn't?

It says "Ehrenkreuz für Frontkämpfer 1918", i.e. the 1914-18 Honor Cross for Combatants.

He was born and lived in the municipality of Einsiedel, which belonged to the county and district of Chemnitz. (Einsiedel was eventually incorporated into the city of Chemnitz in 1997.)

Chemnitz II was the Wehrmeldeamt (draft board) in charge of him.

Roughly. Maat and Obermaat were the two Junior Petty Officer ranks. Petty Officer ranks in his specific career were:

    a) Unteroffiziere ohne Portepee [Junior Petty Officers]:
    - Funkmaat
    - Oberfunkmaat

    b) Unteroffiziere mit Portepee [Senior Petty Officers]:
    - Funkmeister
    - Stabsfunkmeister
    - Oberfunkmeister
    - Stabsoberfunkmeister
