Hi folks, i found this. Herbert Herzog was part of the 10th Flak division. He served with Schwere transport batterie 106/IV (mot). He was awarded the Ost medal & KBA in bronze. The soldbuch's a zweitschrift (replacement). In '41 they were sent to Romania to secure the Ploesti oil fields. He also served in the Krimea at Sevastopol, Kursk, Kharkov & Kiev. Wedding pic's dated '44. Stewy

    Another nice one Stewy!
I have been keeping my eye open for a Luft. Flak soldbuch to add to my collection as a representative piece as that is where my uncle served.
    Congrats!
    Ralph.

Thanks Ralph. Feldpost no. checks out. He wasn't a proper frontline soldier, but he most likely saw some action. Regards, Stewy

It's also a variant of the KBA (drivers doc) I didn't have. Stewy

Looking at the wedding pic, he appears to be wearing a BWB. Although there's no mention of it in the soldbuch, that I can see. Stewy

I think it may be a relation in the wedding pic. Due to his POW discharge papers stating he's single & they're dated '46. Stewy
