Hi,

Would it be possible to locate this soldiers position during 1939-1940? exact unit and what the unit did?

Hi Neil, for of all, welcome to the forum!

This is an outstanding item. As you know, this man was a member of the "LAH".

The third entry for 28/7/1941 shows he was at the SS Hospital at Hohenlychen. Some photo of it can be found here:

Very nice Soldbuch. Unfortunately the picture of the soldier disappeared.
It is very possible he got wounded during the beginning of Operation Barbarossa since he was in the hospital in July 1941.
