Here my wehrpass

The problem is, i never had a wehrpass before and thats why my knowledge is poor about these papers.
What i thinkt i have is :


1. The Wehrpass of Herman Baekerra Panzer Grenadier

2. newspaper piece about the persons with info about his death

3. Document that tells us that his family needs to search his leftovers (documents, personal items ..)

They always told me he died by a mortar that hit and the metal flew around and hit him, but i don't know if the Wehrpass mentions that. A confirmation would be nice. I know that he deciesed in Russia Eastern front.

4. I think that is an original cover?

Many fun checking the details, i did my best with my camera

He was in Panzer Grenadier Regiment 73 of the 19 Panzer Divison , so it would appear that he was killed in the Zhitomir area of the Ostfront,

Death/missing date: 16.1.1944
Death/missing place: Awratin

verstorben: kohlenoqydverg., lungenentzündung. Deceased due to a lung infection and another issue.

Awratin can be found 65km northeast of Ternopil [Tarnopol] called Avratyn. Hermann is now buried at the cemetery in Beresna/Chmelnik in Ukraine.
