Would anyone have an idea if this ausweis was issued in Paris?
Can one trace the OT units activities?

It`s stamped Luftgaupostamt Paris. Wouldn`t that mean it was issued there?

If Paris was liberated at the end of August, would this be something like an evacuation of German soldiers from areas still in their hands near Paris?

That seems reasonable to me,since they had to leave town rather quickly they would have their stamps and forms with them and just continued to use them,no time to make new ones.

Can anyone identify the location of the Feldpostnummer? That may be a more accurate way of determining the exact location where this group was stationed. I'm just not sure that their actual duty station was the Luftgaupostamt in Paris - maybe some branch office - don't know without the location of the Feldpost Nummer and I don't have the necessary reference for identifying that. The reason listed is "Verlegung" - transfer.
