Hi,
Trying for hours to read the stamp, red one in the soldbuch, and I can only think that it might be FRONTURLAUBERPACKET...second line might be something with FUHRERGESCHENK...? could this be so?
Tnx,
Neil.

When a soldier went on leave from the front line, at the next major railroad station in Germany he would have to show his papers and he then received a large package with all kinds of luxuries like cans of meat, coffee, sugar, marmelade, bread, cake, cigarettes. For a front soldier these were the kinds of things they could only dream about.
The stamp shows that the soldier received the package.
learned something new myself, many thanks!
Neil.
can one make out the places and reasons for his leaves?
thanks.
