Wasserschutzpolizei-Gruppe

Article about: I haven't posted anything for a while, so I thought I'd put this Polizei grouping of Bernard Arnesen. Arnesen was a WWI vet earning the EKII, Hanseatic Cross, Combatant's Cross of Honor and

    I'm not familiar with this organisation, but a ruff translations is Water protection police, so were they a Customs or Port authority type organisation or more along the lines of a Harbour master?

    Nice set of documents but, quite surprisingly, in these years nobody ever pointed out that:
    the sleeve eagle is a well-known repro of low quality
    Wasserschutzpolizei sleeve eagle didn't display the location name per regulations
    the buckle and the metal cap eagle on the top of the display are standard Ordnungspolizei one, whereas Wasserschutzpolizei ones should be gold in colour.

    To be fair, it is posted in a section that is for those interested in paperwork rather than cloth and metal.
