As I said, you'll get used to it the more you study these documents. You don't even necessarily have to be able to make out individual characters, just the way the word as a whole looks as an entity.

It doe have a certain beauty to it , and some words stand out while others seem to run together. Found his last name impossible to decipher
The death card I posted yesterday evening was much easier for me to read as opposed to the Wehrpas and Soldbuch for it was just standard typeset German. I have a couple more I cannot read as well due to the Gothic/Sutterlin style of writing
