Thought shall be the harder , heart the keener,
Courage the greater as our strength faileth.
Here lies our leader ,in the dust of his greatness.
Who leaves him now , be damned forever.
We who are old now shall not leave this Battle,
But lie at his feet , in the dust with our leader
House Carles at the Battle of Hastings

f...k.... Ididn´t think about that. You are right about the "missing" awards on this picture... mmmmm
I really think I hv TO ASK again about the pic the friend who gave it to me...
Got no sense... 1942 and no awards for anyone... (That would be something, don´t you think?) LOL
I think this is NOT a ´42 picture after all...
Damm. I´ll hv some answers in a couple days, for sure.
PS: thx for the comments!
by the way... I´m buying this picture tomorrow from the another guy. I think it´s a great "non action" piece.
It´s an Theatre playing in the Westwall. I don´t know the year yet, but I love the scheme.
what do u think?
A lot of double decal helmets for 1942?

Jerry
Whatever its just an opinion.
yes... I did see this guy writing... what would be typeing, ugh?
It could be names for a dead list or maybe they was asking the girl for the chicken´s soap list, LOL (we´ll never know)
Like I told you before, I LUV this pic.
There is a famous scene from Dads Army when they are guarding a captured U boat crew and their commander keeps a list for when the Germans win the war and threatens to put peoples names in it if they upset him. Indeed a list for who wants what for lunch, also a scene in Dads Army. "I don't want none of your soggy chips, I want mine crisp und light brown" also by the U boat commander.
Great pics

Jerry
