Very interesting photos, Barbarossa was, as has been stated, a hugely significant turning point in the Second World War.
Operation Barbarossa was also a highly significant step towards the industrialized mass murder of innocent European Jews and I try to remember it as such. The mass shootings carried out by the police, SS and the army during Barbarossa marked the first instances of widespread killing of Jews during the Second World War.
