I wonder what's caught her eye????
I hope for that young lady's sake that she wasn't being told to see the instructor after class!

Unlike their Russian counterparts, the Germans didnt believe in women seeing combat.
Blitzmädels worked primarily in beind-the-frontline jobs and were not supposed to see hand-to-hand combat.
Some may of course by accident have landed in the immediate frontline, when the enemy rolled over the German lines.
That is why you got to admire the courage these women showed when they did face combat. It wasn't just the "blitzmadels", but also the flak helferinnen, and the women of the Volkssturm and Werwolf.

And don't forget 'die Blauen Mausen' ( the Blue Mice ). Not combat soldiers
by any means, but a welcome sight for sailors upon the return of
U-boats and their crews.........

Although surely a combat award should've been inaugurated especially for them?
Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....

Re: Beautiful women during the TR
Not to put too fine a point on it, but the plural of "Maus" is "Mäuse", not "Mausen". "Mausen" is a slang term for, well, err..
http://www.dict.cc/?s=mausen
(Come to think of it, it does kind of fit in the context of returning sailors on shoreleave.)
