In summer 1941 there were very few snipers in Red Army and I have not heard anything about female snipers during 1941 battles in Estonia. Soviet troops were escaping and Tallinn was taken by Germans and supporting Estonian troops very quickly in the end of August 1941.

Hi Dimas , thanks for showing these photographs , do you think the woman captured , shown in one of the photos could have been a sniper ?
I don't think she is a sniper, take a look, in one of the picture she is crying. In second she is going backside at the Red Army junior commander, IMO is a stuff worker- field wife in everyday weatherprotection summercoat for womans. The snipers in 1941 year in defence- practically impossible. The soldier with a sniper scope did not make him a sniper

Juhan is right, Red Army use them only in offencive operations, but in 1941 year USSR did not want to make a short war which will be end in the USSR border. In this case a cease fire will be reached, and all the German borders will be shortened up to 150km from the current border. The 3rd Reich will alive and will grow the power.
Stalin got what he want in 1945: Friendship with Finnland- in day X, troops could be easily arrive the Norwegian, and Swedish border. Poland, Chech, Hungaria, Jugoslawia, Romania, Germany was a USSR satellites, and Soviet weapon has been located much more closer.
What is wrong, that Estonia did not had own army and troops in 1941 year, that was just a peoples voluntary fought against a Red Army, if the Germany will recover independance of the Baltic states, IMO the USSR after the war will not take them back to the USSR as republics, but will make from them a socialist republics, as other sattelites. But concerning this Der Generalplan Ost he had the same plans as for other protectorat Ostland with Riga as a Hauptstadt

Some destroyed vehicles. Probably Rae line on Raasiku side. Very interesting that some interesting vehicles of ex-Estonian army on the picture.
The Mark 5 in camouflage was placed to the crossroad as pillbox. Note number one with white cross. The second picture of the Vickers tanks recieved by Estonia in 1940 year from Poland, also has Estonian white cross and camo.
Can you please explain, where the Rae line was ?

Oh, it's interesting, because I live in Rae, and my grandmother has told me some stories about the place during WW2, also she'd mentioned several times that there was a destroyed tank somewhere in the neighbourhood.

More pictures probably from the same area (can you confirm?).
By the way, who is this pair that keeps cropping up in all the pictures? As for the subject matter, the armored car in my pictures, I have some thoughts, but am not entirely sure.
This is an Estonian army Steyr 640, rebuilt in 1940/41 for Soviet army.
